I think you could get into the snake dance one if more then half your party was from the continent that had favor, so if euro have favor 5 euro's and 3 americans could get in (never confirmed this myself though).

On my first day of playing, a level 20 who took me under their wing told me the following:

"Everything that drops for you I need to have because you're a lower level and if you don't, when the monsters kill you, they will take all your weapons and armor"...

Needless to say, I believe the git until I was saved!

A very long time ago, in my first guild as a matter of fact (when we were all noobs) we were doing a FoW run. Being noobs, the threat of dying was actually real, and the point that we had progressed to (the forest) was impressive to us at the time.

Well, noobs we might have been, but I had the overwhelming impression from my guild that they were still intelligent and certainly not ignorant enough not to know what Alt+F4 does. I guess it was my bad luck...we were talking about noobs (or people more noobish than us I guess) and without thinking I said something about Alt+F4 giving a bonus, fully believing that nobody on my team, none of my guildies could POSSIBLY be stupid enough to believe it.

I was wrong. A shitstorm ensued, and I had to apologize because I mistakenly respected someone's intelligence. Moral of the story: retarded until proven innocent.

haha yea, that sucks when it happens. Thankfully i dont try that sort of thing unless i know the people well.

I salvaged amber from an amber weapon just once, and I've been salvaging amber and jade weapons habitually since Factions came out. I think the chance is comparable to getting jewels from jewel weapons.

The Favor rumor was a good one. So many believed that when a server had favor the drops got 10x better. I actually saw someone who only farmed when the server he was on got favor.

Actually - I think this one may have come from the Prima Game Guide. I seem to remember it saying something about favor affecting loot. I don't know where mine is now so I can't check but I dimmly recall reading that there.

Can't believe nobody mentioned the one about "watching the credits improves drop rates". That one used to be on GuildWiki.

I used to have a midget ele, and one someone told me that I was a n00b because short characters can't KD certain monsters.

Once, I saw someone with an r2 Luxon Title in HzH. A bunch of people were going, you know "go bak 2 clavalon c0kksuxx0n" and such but one guy said, honestly: "You can't get drops in Echovald if you have a Luxon title." I lmao'd at that one and he insisted it was true "I went to jade sea once and I got no drops for an hour".

this is kinda true put it this way you have a req 9 weapon and y9ou put 12 points into it you will have more of a chance to hit for the higher damge like say a 15-28 weapon you wil hit 28 more if you havea req 9 with 12 pooints in it

my fav one is once you get legendARY SURVIOR you could equipt the title and ping it and woul d give you 100 heath and 10 energy at all times lol . use to pingit all the time and have poeplebelive it . a guildy of mine started telling me to hold on to his titan germs after every 5 man run becuz he woud get a error 7 while mapping out , only to log back in and them be taken out of his inventory!!!

he think s anet wacthes him becuz he is leet and knows to much about farming and he says he uses hacks to get ebtter drops even though i have never seen therse better drops at all yet
